Hello,
Is it possible Veeam to user DB authentication instead of OS authentication when connecting to Oracle Database on Windows Server? I don't see such option and OS authentication is not applicable as SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES= (NTS) breaks the connections from Oracle clients on the users machines.

Re: Veeam DB authentication to Oracle Database (Windows)
Currently we do not use DB based authentication for this usecase. We are exploring it for the Oracle RMAN plug-in.
SQLNET authentication services can have a list of services if I remember right, not just one value. I am curious how does this config value currently look like?

Re: Veeam DB authentication to Oracle Database (Windows)
I figured it out, it was actually an Oracle issue (not a bug, but a feature
). Since Oracle 19.10 access to Networks LAN Manager authentication service has been disabled by default due to a security fix. So adding SQLNET.NO_NTLM=FALSE in sqlnet.ora on client side allowed both Veeam to use OS authentication, and external users to log in with their credentials.
