Veeam Endpoint Backup - E-Mail-Notification

Hey Veeam-Team,

Veeam Endpoint-Protection is a great free tool. Thanks a lot.

I couldn't find a "E-mail-notification"-option in this product. As an IT-Professional i know this option is in the B&R-product.

Since there is a easy way to send e-mail-notifications via powershell "send-mailmessage" (https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/lib ... 49925.aspx) are there plans to integrate e-mail-notifications in VEP?

I would appreciate this option for ticket-systems, which check for incomming "succsessful backup"-messages.

If you are not using Veeam Backup and Replicaton (paid product) then there was a great topic on setting up email notifications for VEB here: http://forums.veeam.com/veeam-endpoint- ... 27569.html

There is a script to email them out and steps to setup the task.

We are a Veeam customer (Veeam Backup + Veeam ONE) and we setup a backup of a physical server using Endpoint Backup and pointed the backup to an existing backup repository on our Veeam backup server.

I have looked all over in the Endpoint backup setup and on the Veeam server but I don't seem to see any option for email notification for the (original) backup job. For backup copy task to copy the backup to our offsite repository yes - but obviously that is a separate thing.

Can you advise - is email (Success/Fail) available for the original Endpoint Backup job?

Yes it is available for the original Backup job. The email notifications are handled by the Veeam Backup and Replication server that has the repositories you are backing up to. You can check the global settings in Options -> Email Settings.

Also, can you see the Endpoint job in the Veeam Backup and Replication GUI?

I want to modify email notification for Veeam Endpoint job, it seems that it can't be done via Veeam Backup console, if I modify it via Endpoint client - set up SMTP notifications will I get double alerting? Thanks, Matjaž

I've set-up stunnel to send the e-mail notifications to ofice365 but the program just doesn't send the notifications. When I use a smtp test utility (eg https://smtptest.codeplex.com/downloads/get/108514 ) to test the stunnel configuration, the messages are send successful.
please assist.

I am using the correct ports and authentication, but the program keep saying that it's not possible to send the e-mail. I can see the connection coming to stunnel, but then an error is only generated on the endpoint backup side.

Louis, can you please open a support case and let our technical team take a look at the logs files and find a reason for this issue?
