Re: Veeam Endpoint to VM
Hi Jack,
Are you still using VEB 1.5? Because in that case, what can be done is to create a new empty VM, boot the VM on our recovery media, and then do a BMR from there. The only thing we saw (from time to time) is that the restore came from a server with RAID drivers and that it could cause an issue where you needed to remove the drivers after the BMR. But it works nonetheless
With VAW and VBR, we are working on some additional restore possibilities.

Jack,
The best ways is to use Export as virtual disk or Instant Recovery to Hyper-V functionality in Veeam Backup and Replication. BMR will also work, but as Mike said, you might need to modify drivers (do not inject the physical drivers during recovery)

Re: Veeam Endpoint to VM
How about the latest beta(2.0)? Can it work in AHV without creating empty VM? I tried yesterday restore one of VMs in AHV, I had to create empty VM with same HDDs

Re: Veeam Endpoint to VM
Thanks. There is no tight integration, so the only workaround is bare metal recovery via iso to a blank VM.
