Veeam full backup to Onedrive
Hey,
So I was looking in to veeam endpoint protection backup "entire computer".
I have mapped my Onedrive as a Z:\ which is viewable in explorer etc like usual. But when I go in to veeam and choose either local storage or shared folders I am unable to find Z: and unable to specify it manually.
Is there anyone who know how to do this if it's even possible? As if I just try to use my regular one drive folder I can't back it to that disk as it's on my system disk.

Endpoint can only backup to physically connected disks I presume.
Your OneDrive is not physically connected...

I believe you are correct. OneDrive wouldn't be any one of the listed supported targets.

Hi,
You can use a shared folder destination in conjunction with a path like \\MyLaptop\C$\Users\Dima P\OneDrive but keep in mind the OneDrive file size limitation of 10GBs.

Actually, you can use said folder via Local storage destination type too (except entire pc backup mode)

Ability to backup copy to OneDrive would be very useful indeed, since E3 users have 5TB of it available. The client would just need a little bit of file chunking logic and WebDav support.

Hi,
so the new agent 2.2 allows backup to onedrive.
If you want to backup the entire computer to onedrive (with E5 license) what is the limit and would this require to have enough free space on that computer for the backup file itself? (will it be synced?!)
Thanks!

Hello Thomas321,
Since OneDrive is supported as a direct target for the backup job, there is need to keep the same amount of free space locally. As for the limit for the backup file size, then VAW splits it into required sizes, so the limit is basically capped by the size of your OneDrive.
Please take a look at this link to review the limitations list > Limitations for Backup to Microsoft OneDrive
Thank you!
