When I select the option "On these days" select let's say sunday and ask to keep backups for the last 30 days, VEEAM won't delete oldest backups. Is there a way other that selecting everyday or on weekdays to make this work?
Product : VEEAM for Windows 2.0 FREE edition.

Re: VEEAM not deleting restore points
Hi,
Merge is performed by backup jobs. If you have more than 30 days of backup – start a backup job and it will merge the oldest restore points into the full backup.

Re: VEEAM not deleting restore points
That's not my issue. What I want to know is that if I choose to do backups on sundays only (choosing the option "On these days" and I want to keep 4 restore points, then I will ask to keep backups for more than 28 days. The issue is that if I do so, it won't delete restore points and keep on going as long as I manually delete them or the disk is full...
From what I can see, this option (doing the equivalent of weekly backups) and manage restore points is only available with the server version.
Can someone confirm this point?

Re: VEEAM not deleting restore points
try to set the retention to 4 days instead: VAW counts only the days when backup was created. 4 days of backups as retention and weekly backup (without any backup events checked) should work.
