Hi all,
We run B&R across the majority of our VM/physical estate however we have one Exchange 2010 VM that is currently backed up via BackupExec and we cannot backup using VEEAM as the disk's on the host do not have sufficient free disk space on the host to allow a snapshot to be successfully be taken.
Do you envisage any issues with purchasing and installing the VEEAM server agent on this VM so that we can target the backups to our VEEAM repositories? I presume we can mount Exchange DB's etc when we use the agent in the same way that we can with our B&R protected Exchange servers?
Appreciate your thoughts..
Regards,
Simon

Re: VEEAM Server Agent - Exchange 2010 VM
Hello Simon,
You can test the backup of the said server with Veeam Agent running in Free mode. Unlike Server edition, Free does not provide the application aware backup but can take entire computer or volume level backups, so you can test the solution right now before installing the paid version.
Here is the download page in case you want to try it.
