My Veeam is set to wake, backup, and sleep at around 4am. Which it does the first time correctly. When I later wake my computer during the day a pop up comes up saying “Veeam completed backup and will sleep in:” and then a 60 second timer before it autosleeps. I assume this is the same timer that is used at 4am to autosleep my computer, but for some reason that dialog stays active after sleep and I need to cancel it.
The backup usually runs correctly the first time waking the system, backing up, then going to sleep again. If the system is left for a second day or more the backup often keeps running forever never actually starting until either the system is woken up and fails or attempts a retry. Since the computer is asleep while the counter is running I suspect its falling asleep due to this 60 second timer and getting stuck. When the 60 second timer should only appear once after it completes the backup around 4am.
I am running Windows 11 25H2 build: 26200.7623 and the latest Veeam build 6.3.2.1302
Case ID: 07974300
I have seen forum posts going back as far as 2022 reporting of this issue but no resolutions.

Re: Veeam Sleep Timer after waking from sleep
Update: Changing the "Once backup is taken, computer should" setting from sleep to keep running has, funnily enough, made my backups happen and put my computer to sleep correctly..... if there is already a sleep setting enabled within veeam, why is this option even available in the job creation????
