Corrupted setup file

Post by Darek »

I started to use Veeam Endpoint Backup some months ago in my company and I really like this product, thanks for making it free. And I did few succesfull recoveries which built my confidence. No wonder when new version 1.5 arrived I downloaded it at once.
Yesterday I started updating - 9 machines in one localisation were updated without any problem, I made new recovery files and fresh backups. I got several notifications to my email account (thanks a lot for this feature). So far so good :-)

Today I started with another computer and I got a strange error - "Some installation files are corrupt. Please download a fresh copy and retry installation" and following window appeared Image
File I used today was exactly same file as I used yesterday - 201 747KB in size.

So I'm little bit lost here, any ideas ?

Hi Darek,

Thanks for the feedback! The setup file could be somehow corrupted during copy/paste operations (maybe it was stored on the disk/flask drives with bad blocks). Please download the fresh version from the website and try again.

Thanks for answer, apparently something is wrong with yesterday's file :

File: VeeamEndpointBackup_1.5.0.306.exe
CRC-32: ccaec00c
MD4: a4adba250234eae742c30a9415813779
MD5: b28f4fe8622bb2a205db68e3e855fe51
SHA-1: 40265d23e06df52816470cd097847bb5024c1db8

Today's download :

File: VeeamEndpointBackup_1.5.0.306.exe
CRC-32: 133f5153
MD4: 4014ab36eede94a781ffcd93df19d2de
MD5: 2a9dbdbdbe75b547d6c753916f6b97ae
SHA-1: 684738980ebfb15896aa84505e546410cecf423e

I looked at download section - is there any info about proper checksum for files downloaded ?
