Version 3+4 Backup to local storage only with license key?

Post by UW4E »

Hi,

I used Veeam Agent for Windows FREE in the version 2.0 and easily could make a backup to a local storage.
Now in version 3 or 4 I get the message "multiple ... <something> is not possible with the free version".
I tried to get a key, but was not successfull.
So I reinstalled version 2.0 to get my backups done.

Where's my problem with the local storage option in the newer versions?

Thanks!
Uwe

Hello! There are no restrictions or known issues with backup to local storage in either v3 or v4. It sounds like you have some other job "stuck" in the configuration database, which prevents you from creating another one (Free and Wokstation editions agents were always limited to a maximum of one job). Since technically speaking, after getting a trial license you are on your official trial period now, you are eligible for standard technical support. So, feel free to contact them for assistance with fixing this. Thanks!

Ok, found it. I either have to use in the menu "Edit job" to make another backup or "Remove job" and then I can use "Add New Job..." to create a new one.
This information just for other readers coming here.
Thanks,
Uwe
