Warninig-Pst files

Hello,
I am using VEEAM agent for windows Version 2 to backup to VEEAM B&R 9.5 running on windows server 2012 R2.
For some users, I got the below error sometimes for some users
Failed to backup [Users\username\Documents\Outlook Files\archive.pst]. However, all other files are backed up normally except this outlook file.

Emad,

You may see such warning when file selected as a source was deleted or moved from disk. Can you check that this file actually exists? Thank you.

This is normal for file level backup, i think. Veeam can't back up files that are open - so if user has Outlook open during backup, the PST file is locked by Outlook & Can't be backed up, so the error occurs. Close Outlook and the backup will succeed as the the file lock will be released.

Use volume level backup and you won't have these issues.

Nope. Agent leverages VSS snapshot technology to create a backup, so opened files should not cause this issue.
