Why does Veeam Tray Server connect to microsoft?

In resource monitor it shows veeam tray server with an open tcp connection to validation.sls.microsoft.com? What is the reason for this?

Hi caelum,

Check your hosts file. Tray does not connect to this service, so there might be a routing issue on your machine (or maybe router).
