Windows Agent Management
Hi,
I have been using the free agent to backup a few Windows and Linux machines.
Was excited to see about the announcement to be able to manage them from Backup and Replication.
So have installed the free version of BR to test, The add server wizard lets me go through the process of adding a windows/linux machine but nothing appears in the Inventory.
From screenshots on the website it looks like there should be a managed server list but it hasn't appeared.
Am I running into limits of the free version or have I likely set something up wrong?
On the comparison for free vs paid it does not mention which side the agent management falls on.
Some clarity on the situation would be much appreciated thanks.

Re: Windows Agent Management
Hi Christopher,
You should have Paid Agent License and install it into Veeam B&R in order to get centralized management functionality. Thanks!

[MERGED] Centralized backup solution
hi,
is it possible to setup a centralized backup solution using Veeam Agent for windows and the free edition of veem b&R ?
If so, how can i do it?
What i'd like is to have Veeam B&R Free edition installed on a backup server, and agents on windows PCs.
From the backup server is it possible to schedule backup of the various PCs?
Thanks
Luca

[MERGED] Agent Management
I know Veeam Agent's can be managed from a B&R console.
Is there any way to centrally manage the agents without having a B&R license? I have a use case where I want to use Veeam to backup all my workstations, but no need for server backups that B&R would provide. Would I have to buy a 1 socket license at minimum to get access to the console? Or could I use the free version?

Hi Curtis and welcome to the community!
You don't need a B&R License, only a paid agent license installed into Veeam B&R in order to use Agent Management functionality. Thanks!
