About VAL Upgrade with UEFI Secure Boot configured

Post by Yukinobu »

Hi Guys,

Since UEFI Secure Boot was configured on a RHEL9 machine registered in a VBR protection group, we installed blksnap-ueficert-6.2.0.101-1.noarch.rpm using the procedure in the URL below.
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/agent ... tml?ver=60

we can now back up without any problems, but if we upgrade VBR and then VAL in the future, will we need to reinstall the corresponding release version of blksnap-ueficert?

Kind Regards,
Yukinobu Asami

Hello Yukinobu,

Yes, you will also need to update blksnap-ueficert. But there will be no need for enrollment again, hence no system reboots etc.
