Best filesystem for ~100TB filesystem backup (RHEL)?
Currently I use BTRFS (just for the subvolume support, not using any of the raid levels) and the linux veeam agent works great backing up the subvolumes - about 50TB. I am working on setting up a new server that will have roughly 100TB of data. I have been thinking of using XFS for this server - is there any pro/con of using either of these with Veeam these days?

Re: Best filesystem for ~100TB filesystem backup (RHEL)?
Hi,
Veeam Agent supports XFS just fine. Just mind these limitations.
As for pros and cons...
1. Bitlooker on VAL supports only XFS and ext4
The main idea of this feature is to determine which blocks are not used by the file-system and exclude them from the backup, thereby reducing its size.
2. Dynamic snapshot space allocation supports only XFS and ext4
That is, with XFS we will allocate new portions of snapshot space on demand, instead of trying to guess how much space we need to allocate before the job starts.
Thanks!
