BTRFS and ZFS file systems are not supported on linux agent
Hi,
What I can see in the limitation is
• BTRFS and ZFS file systems are not supported
Is this temporary or limitation by design?

Hi,
It's by design and won't be changed in GA v1.
Thanks

Oracle Linux does not use ZFS out-of-the-box. AFAIK there is only one distro that is officially ZFS ready - Ubuntu 16.04.
Thanks

Thanks.
I just came to know that the ext4 filesystem is installed by default for Oracle Linux 6,while XFS is the default file system for Oracle Enterprise Linux 7.

Just keep in mind that ZFS and XFS are not the same thing.

Is it because of the inbuilt snapshots? Either way, ZFS or BTRFS (now not for a long time) isn't going to be prod ready anytime soon.

Re: BTRFS and ZFS file systems are not supported on linux ag
There are many reasons. Both of these filesystems are not just filesystems but also very complicated pieces of software that incorporate various functions and several abstraction layers. BTRFS is already offered as a default filesystem in some distros (openSUSE for example), ZFS came fully supported in Ubuntu Xenial 16.04. Sure you are right that not so many people today will use either of those in prod, however I would not write them off so soon.
Thanks
