Hi@all,
I need help calculating the storage space required for a backup repository.
I would like to backup 4 VM's. 2 x Linux / 2 x Windows 10. The Linux VM's use ext4, the Windows VM's NTFS. Together all VM's have 1.5TB capacity. The actual fill level of all volumes together is approx. 1TB.
About 500MB of data is added every day.
I install the Veeam agent FREE in the VMs.
The repository is on a Linux server (XFS) and is connected via NFS. I would like to have 2-3 versions in the repo.
How do I calculate the size of the repository?

Re: Calculating the repository
500 MB is a very low change for a server system.
There are system files changing all the time. On a windows server, there will be more than 500 MB logs changing in a day.
You can use the Restore Point Calculator to size your backup repo.
