Can't mount network share during restore

Post by korsar182 »

I have successfully backed-up my Debian system to a SMB share. However, when I try and do a restore using the Veeam recovery media I am unable to mount the SMB share, got an error Cifs filesystem not supported by the system
I also have recovery media version 3 where everything works fine.

Hi Oleksandr,
can you please hit "switch to command line" and mount same share using OS stack? I have a feeling cifs module was not loaded for w/e reason.

Code: Select all

lsmod | grep cifs | to check if its loaded
modprobe cifs | to load it manually
for the rescue!
/Cheers!

Sure cifs module was not loaded, but when I try to load it it says Error while loading shared libraries: libcrypto.so1.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Hi,

Did you patch v4 recovery, or it's just a generic 4.0.0. iso from here?

Thanks

It's patched one.
I also tried generic image but after a successful recovery got Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init error.
