Cannot select OS disk from gui

Post by pama »

Good morning,
I have opened the case ID# 03776278

I am running VAL on a HP Gen7 Microserver with smartarray P410 SAS card.
I have two volumes in raid 1 and only one is selectable from VAL gui.
Here is the result of lsblk:

NAME MAJ:MIN RM SIZE RO TYPE MOUNTPOINT
sda 8:0 0 232.9G 0 disk
├─sda1 8:1 0 229G 0 part /
├─sda2 8:2 0 1K 0 part
└─sda5 8:5 0 3.9G 0 part [SWAP]
sdb 8:16 0 465.7G 0 disk
└─sdb1 8:17 0 465.7G 0 part /nc_data

Only sdb is selectable by Veeam...and yes, my system running fine (on sda)

Why my /sda is missing?
Thanks

Hello,
and welcome to the forums.

Please understand that the forum does not replace support. As you already have a case, please give support some time to look at the case.

What I ask myself: if you want to backup everything (/sda and /sdb)... what happens if you select "entire machine"?

Best regards,
Hannes

Thanks Hannes,
I have solved: my sda partition was out of the disk bounds. Recreated, now Veeam is able to backup it.
Regards,
Andrea
