Feature Request: Linux Agent Backup to Data Domain Boost Repository
Hello,
could you please provide some information if the implementation of this function is already planned and when we can expect a release of the function?
We do not like to write into a CIFS share on the Data Domain since Dell does not recommend running a CIFS share beside Data Domain Boost repositories.
Best regards

Currently, there is no ETA however it has been requested before and is on our roadmap to implement this in future releases.

Re: Feature Request: Linux Agent Backup to Data Domain Boost Repository
I second this request. We would like to see the Veeam Agent for Linux be able to target a Data Domain Veeam Repo directly (we use DDBoost as well).
Was hopeful version 3 would resolve, but it did not.
Thanks
Kevin

Hi,
DD is on our roadmap already. Indeed, features of v3.0 (Oracle and BTRFS support) turned out to be very resource-greedy from the development perspective.
Thanks!

Re: Feature Request: Linux Agent Backup to Data Domain Boost Repository
Hi,
What is the latest info about this?
9.5 U4 documents says: "Usage of DataDomain DDboost appliances as a storage for backups created with Veeam Agent for Linux is not supported"
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/archive/ba ... ments.html
V4 agent documents says: "Backup can be performed to: Veeam Backup & Replication 10 or later backup repository (including deduplication appliances)"
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/agent ... tml?ver=40
Does this mean Data Domain Boost is supported with V10 and Agent for Linux V4?
Regards.

Yes, it is supproted if Data Domain Boost is added to Veeam B&R and VAL is targeted to the VBR repository.
