Feature Request : Oracle Enterprise plugin Script wizard
Hello.
I'm starting to get several costumers that use Oracle Rac or Oracle with ASM disks, and for that we need to use the linux agent and Oracle Enterprise plugin.
I always get a very negative feedback when the end user know that they need to make and/or modify the script to make changes in the job or use cron to schedule it, since most of them are not a DBA. They always tell that they had a legacy tool that did that for them easily.
So the request is :
- Make a Wizard to configure the Backup Time, Full, logs and retention policy like we do when its a virtual oracle or no-asm/Rac or integrate in the agent job.
- If possible add the ability to see the Script and change it if necessary.
Thank you!

Re: Feature Request : Oracle Enterprise plugin Script wizard
Hi,
That is, they want GUI for RMAN plugin (either a separate one, or integrated into VAL's) so that they can control the plugin in a more convenient way, right?
Thanks!

Hello PTide
Yes, thats right. They want the same experience that they have with an Oracle inside a virtual machine, just selecting how many restore points and the time to backup archive logs.
Thanks.

Hello,
Thanks for sharing the idea!
The RMAN plug-in management via Veeam B&R GUI is added to our roadmap and probably would be delivered in one of our future releases but I cannot comment on ETA yet.
Thanks!
