Feature Request - Support of Red Hat Linux 9.2

Post by elie.kocur »

We have a server under Red Hat Linux 9.2 based on the kernel version [5.14.0-284.11.1.el9_2.x86_64].
This version is not supported yet neither by VAL, nor by VSPC.
We have customers who have updated and we are now stuck.
We can no longer manage the server via the VSPC console.
Is it possible to enable support for this version?

As a workaround, have you tried booting the updated system into an earlier kernel version (i.e., the latest kernel supported in 9.1)?

I have definitely seen this work in the 8.x series as a method to keep Veeam working after an update, so perhaps it works with 9.x as well.

You can get the RHEL 9.2 Linux agent through support: https://www.veeam.com/kb2804

Hello,

Latest version of VAL does support RHEL 9.2 already.
