File level backup with object "/" does not backup everything

Post by g8rfreak »

Linux Agent, File Level Backup.
Objects: Choose directories to backup:
  • /
I would expect that to backup everything but it does not backup all subfolders. It would appear that subfolders that are mount points get skipped unless you list them all in addition to "/". Is it necessary to individually list all mount points?

That's concerning because system administrators could add mount points but not think to let the backup administrators know. Then those new mount points don't get backed up and nobody knows until it's too late.

Hi,

This is a known bug with snapshot-less jobs, and it is already fixed in the upcoming version of the agent.
If you would like to request a hotfix, please contact our support team directly.

Just a small clarification - do you observe such behaviour only with jobs that do not use snapshots, or with jobs that use snapshots too?

Thanks!
