FreePBX

Post by DanielJ »

Hi, we have a physical box running FreePBX (the official distro). Any chance of getting that backed up with the linux agent? We tried but, not unexpectedly, got "unsupported operating system".

Hi,
got "unsupported operating system".
I guess you tried to deploy the agent using VBR. You can try to install the agent manually on PBX host and add it to management in VBR console (it still won't support automatic updates though)

Thanks!

We removed it and installed the agent first, then added the server to the console. Unfortunately the job got to "Skipping <servername>: operating system is not supported", then failed. Thanks anyway. It would be nice with a setting to just warn about the OS name and try anyway in best-effort mode. Probably it would work since it's basically CentOS.

The thing is, that it is supposed to work exactly as you say - VBR doesn't support deployment and update operation for systems that are not supported, however backups should work if you install the agent manually and then add it to the backup server.

Would you open a case with support and post your case ID here, please?

Thanks!
