How to stop the backup job if the prescript fail?

Post by init-s »

I'm trying to backup to two different USB disks and I've created a pre-job script to mount the disk.
In any error case during mount, my script can return any exit code I want.
I've tested with 1, 127, and others...

Veeam currently detect the failure but the job ran even with the error: how to stop the job in case of prescript fail?
Thanks

Hi,

Currently there is no option to do that out of the box, but you could try to handle the mount error inside the script so that in case of failure the script kills the job.

Thanks

Hi,

With VBR v11, is there an option to stop the veeam backup job if the prejobs fails (Return code different than 0) ?

Thanks,

Hello,

Currently, there is no way to do that with standard functionality.
But if you are looking for a workaround, Powershell or this solution might help you.

Thank you!
