Linux Agent availability
We are already extensive user of VEEAM, and now want to use Linux Agents.
But I can't find an Agent for:
openSUSE 42.1
SUSE SLES 11 SP 3
(Both x86_64)
Can anyone point me to a version that might work?

Re: Linux Agent availability
Are you going to use Agent Management functionality or standalone Linux Agents?

Hi ASB,
Thank you for the comment. Now it's clear, please find the answers below.
SUSE SLES 11 SP 3:
Fedor
Thank you for the comment. Now it's clear, please find the answers below.
SUSE SLES 11 SP 3:
- Not supported at all, however, you may go ahead and give it a try, but on your own risk and our technical support won't be able to help with troubleshooting.
- Supported, as mentioned in the requirements, however, there is a limitation - automated agent deployment of Agent Management feature won't work due to the features of this OS version. You may deploy the agent manually, then add the machine to a protection group in order to manage the backups using Agent Management. There are no known issues with standalone deployments.
- Please also note, that in the next VAL version we are planning to cut the support of openSUSE 42.1, 42.2 and 42.3 since they will be soon no longer supported by the vendor.

Re: Linux Agent availability
Thank you for your time and understanding.
In both cases, there is no way to download repository templates for the two unsupported versions. Are you saying I just try the nearest version available (although at my own risk and unsupported)?

Hi,
OpenSUSE 42.1 is supported, please see above. Could you please clarify, what kind of templates are you talking about?
Thanks in advance

Re: Linux Agent availability
I go to https://www.veeam.com/linux-backup-free-download.html, and select "Choose operating system", and I can only download the repository for SLES 11 SP4 and newer, or openSUSE Leap 42.2 or 42.3 and newer.

Re: Linux Agent availability
For OpenSUSE 42.1 please choose "OpenSUSE" package. For SUSE SLES 11 SP3 please give "SLES 11 SP4" package a try. Please note that this one has not been specifically tested on SUSE SLES 11 SP3, but may work.
