I'm testing backing up an ubuntu 18.04 VM, but backing it up with the agent to simulate a physical server. The backup works fine, but when i come to do an instant restore, 2 disks are restored rather than one. The VM fails to boot and goes straight trying pxe booting. I've removed the first disk and rebooted, this takes me to a grub rescue screen.
I've tried exactly the same process with a windows VM and it worked flawlessly. Is there some bug with the linux agent or restore process that's stopping me here?
Thanks

Re: Linux agent > VMware VM failing to boot
Hi,
Cross-hardware restore sometimes gets tricky. Please contact our support team so that they can investigate what exactly went wrong. Don't forget to post your case ID after.
