Linux Beta expires in 35 days
Hi there,
We've been trying out the Veeam Agent for Linux for a few weeks now. At the top of the interace, it states EXPIRES in 35 DAYS.
Do we need to do something to make this go away? Do we reinstall a newer agent? Can we simply pay for this and have it work forever?
Thanks
Luke

As this is currently a beta this is normal. Within 35 days we'll have another version available. This beta is ment for testing. Once the product is GA you can buy a license based on your needs.

There will be also a free version of Agent. May I ask you about your exeprience with VAL BETA2? Any issues/suggestions? What kind of server do you backup?
Thanks
Thanks

Hello,
I am testing the latest BetaVersion of VEEAM Agent for Linux.
i am running the latest centos version and it works perfect.
I really love that you did an endpoint backup solution for linux servers.
This is so beautiful. And like always with veeam it just works.
I would love to buy it as soon as possible that the "beta-version" cannot
expire anymore.
Thanks VEEEAM - Dreamteam =)
saludos Roman

Take a look at the video "Veeam Agents for Microsoft Windows and Linux Summary" at https://go.veeam.com/launch-event-recorded.htmlbc2011 wrote:Is there any info about what will be included in free/paid version? br Matjaz
Around minute 7 it starts about VAW and at minute 14 there is an overview on VAL

[MERGEd] beta expiration
We're currently Veeam B&R customers.
I just started using the Linux agent... noticing the count down timer on the agent, I am just wondering "what" happens once the beta expires?
I would like to use the beta until the stable release is available, but unsure what happens at the end of the trial...

Adam, it should be possible to use the build you have until a newer version/build is released.
