Hi - I have been trying to install the Linux client on Oracle Linux 6.8 with Kernel Linux 4.1.1237.4.1 without success.
I have copied the rpm packages to a tmp location and try to run rpm –ivh veeamsnap and I get an error -
Code: Select all
Failed dependencies:
dkms is needed by veeamsnap*
gcc is needed by veeamsnap*
kernel-devel is needed by veeamsnap*
I have searched the forum but haven't found anything to help me with the install - can anyone help?

Can you install the missing packages? Yum install gcc dkms kernel-devel ?

Hi,
Dkms package is available from
EPEL repo . Try to install EPEL repository first, then run
, it should pull all dependencies automatically. I just want to remind you that it's BETA version so please avoid installing it on a production server.
Thanks

Thank you for the quick replies guys - I D/L the epel-release-latest-6.noarch.rpm installed that and re-ran the veeamsnap and it completed without errors
