Linux host backup job
For the first time trying to back up a Linux Host.
The entire Veeam Agent for Linux 5.0 User Guide procedure was performed on the Linux host (Ubuntu flavor).
Created on the B&R server a Linux host backup job (I tried as a server and as a workstation but the end result was the same). Immediate failure while running the rescan.
Changing the backup direction from the Linux host to the B&R server also presents error. The error is "Failed to connect to the port [x.x.x.x:10006]. On the B&R server the door is open and listening. In the firewall there is also no restriction for port 10006.
Both hosts (B&R and Linux) see themselves by PING.
In the backup repository was created specific user who was also used in the creation of the backup job by the Linux host and given access to this user. Access to the repository was later released to "Allow to everyone" with the same connection failure.

Re: Linux host backup job
Hi,
P.S. Just to double-check - did you try this from the linux server?
Thanks!
If all required ports are opened but the Agent still cannot connect to the backup server, then you should contact our support team directly. Please post your case ID here once you have one.Failed to connect to the port [x.x.x.x:10006]. On the B&R server the door is open and listening. Re: Linux host backup job
The problem was resolved with the help of Veeam support.
The issue was a mix off user credentials and licenses.

Re: Linux host backup job
Thanks for getting back with that info. It looks like the error message that was shown had nothing to do with the reason and we need to fix that.
Cheers
