Managed by agent option during add physical server

Dear all
Hi

during add new physical linux server there are 2 options :

1-Managed by backup server
2-Managed by agent

i want to know managed by agent actualy just install agent on physical server and user had to connect to physical server and do others such as backup and ... manually

is that correct ?

Hi,

In both cases all configuration is done via VBR. The difference is that in "managed by agent" mode a backup job start is triggered by agent itself, whereas in "managed by VBR" mode jobs are started by VBR.
