No repositories showing when configuring a backup

Post by Iain_Green »

Testing the Linux agent on Veeam 9.5
Have successfully installed the Linux Agent on a Centos 6 VM and install a 30 test license.

When I configure a job to point to Veeam and provide credentials no repositories appear for me to select in the GUI?
I have 6 so am surprise none are showing?

Under configuration settings I have selected Server also.

Am I missing something?
Many thanks

This is planned in a future release (be it a patch or a next version).

While I knew that SOBR are not currently supported with VAL, I also have normal Repositories connected to my B&R instance and they also do not show up during configuration. Is this also a known problem?

Did you configure the agent permissions on the normal repo?

 I read the documentation twice, but this is something I obviously missed.

I am having the same issue only I am not using a SOBR. I am trying to connect to my VB&R server and using only a standard backup repo.

I am able to get the Linux agent to connect with the VB&R server, but when I try to list the repos available, there are none.

I just applied to 9.5 update 1 because I saw in the documentation this is required. Still the same issue.

Idea?

Hi,

The same question - have you allowed Agents to access the repository?

Thanks

meant to mention that as well. Yes I do have the permissions setup already. I know the permissions are working because I am using the same account for Windows agents and they see the repositories just fine.

If the repository does not belong to the group of repos that are not supported (DataDomain DDboost, HPE StoreOnce, Exagrid, Cloud, SOBR), the please open a case with support team and post your case ID here.

Thank you

Oh, well my repositories are backing up to Data Domain. I didn't see that in the documentation as a limitation until just now. I was following the "using with Veeam backup & replication" route in the documentation, which didn't state this limitation. The note was found under "creating backup job with backup job wizard" which I was configuring via cli.

That would explain it then.

Do you know when/if Data Domain DDBoost will be supported?

thanks!

Unfortunately the only thing I can tell you now is that it probably won't be supported at least until the end of 2017

Thank you

DDBoost are not supported. This is why you don’t see them.
