Not able to install agent in AIX

Dear Team

We are using AIX 7.1.0.0 with below rpm version 3.0.5.52 which is supported as per my knowledge.

Did below activity :-

1. Download Veeam agent for AIX
2. Unzip in local machine and copied into IBM DB (AIX) using WinSCP.

Error :-
/usr/bin/rpm: /usr/sbin/rpm_share: 0403-006 Execute permission denied.

Please help.

You need to do the unzip on the AIX server.
Or I guess you have to change the file permission after uploading the files.

Hi Manuvaar,

May I ask you what exactly you've changed with the permissions?
The error message says you need to check execute rights.

I have given all permission to the below folders using chmod (777)
1. Where veeam agent unzip file located
2. /usr/bin/rpm
3. /usr/sbin/rpm_share

Please note that i have unzip Veeam agent file on my local PC and after that transfer to my AIX using WinSCP.

I think it is time to open a support ticket to let our support hav a look at it.

What else you can do:
Please do not unzip the data in Windows before you upload it to the AIX server. My guess is that there is something affecting the files there.

As well please check if the current user that executes the install has access to the /tmp folder.
