possible to do a Veeam Restore without the Rescue Medium?

Post by LightRO »

Hello, everyone,

I have a question and that is, is it possible to do a Veeam Restore without the Rescue Medium?

On our system it is not possible to start another Rescue Medium than the one currently inserted.

That is to say there is a Rescue System but not the one from Veeam. Inserting another one is not possible. Is there still a possibility?

Many thanks in advance,
LightRO

Hi,

You can install Veeam Agent directly onto the media that you use the same way as you install it in your distro. After you install VAL, you need to enable Recovery UI (please see this post). Next, run veeamconfig recoveryui.

Thanks!
