Red Hat Enterprise 8.9 - Not Supported
Veeam currently does not support Red Hat Enterprise 8.9?
After update (dmesg):
veeamsnap: loading out-of-tree module taints kernel.
veeamsnap: module verification failed: signature and/or required key missing - tainting kernel
veeamsnap: disagrees about version of symbol crc32_le
veeamsnap: Unknown symbol crc32_le (err -22)
Also not in table:

That is correct: this Red Had version was released just a few days ago, so obviously the current Veeam Agent version released months ago has no idea what is it dealing with. Thanks

Because of poor planning, I am in the same situation. Is there a workaround just to get the backups running again? Is support for 8.9 planned in the near future?

Hi Jorgen,
We're in the process of ensuring compatibility with RHEL 8.9 for our upcoming release. Keep an eye out for the official announcement coming soon.

Have you tried booting from the previous version of the kernel (the last one that was released for OS version 8.arnebjarne wrote: ↑Nov 27, 2023 8:56 am Because of poor planning, I am in the same situation. I've used this successfully in the past to get backups working again, as it's mainly the kernel that matters to Veeam.

Re: Red Hat Enterprise 8.9 - Not Supported
Is it possible to run the VAL 6.1 with RHEL8.9/9.3 support with veeam backup server still running v12.0?
We need the updated support but can stay on current server version for a while more..

Hell Dejan,
If you have RHEL 8.9 or/and 9.3 with VAL 6.1, installed or updated standalone, you can backup them via VBR v12.0
