Removal Of XML Protection Groups - How To Backup Solaris In V13?

Post by JGM2023 »

Posting this from the [V13] Deprecated and Discontinued features for our 2025 release post.

You mention removal of XML configured protection groups. How are you planning on Solaris backups In future? My understanding Is if we want to manage these through VBR this needs to be completed through XML protection groups.

Hello,

You are mentioning following line from deprecations topic for V13 agents:
Import/Export configuration to/from XML
It means that import and export of configuration database will not be supported: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/agent ... onfig.html

So, connecting a Veeam Agent computer as a member of the protection group for pre-installed Veeam Agents to a Veeam backup server will remain supported: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/agent ... nnect.html
