running back every hour
hello,
I am running Agent for Linux with backup to VBR for an application server.
at the moment i run backup 2 time a day.
I want to increase to every hour (24 times a day).
Is this a problem? or are any better/preferred ways to do?
Maybe i think it would be good to create an second backup chain for this,
one is for 2 time a day, the other for every hour?
BR Johannes

Re: running back every hour
Hi,
There are two ways to achieve that:
a) Use "managed by backup server" mode and configure your schedule to run the backup job periodically.
b) for unmanaged mode you can define your own schedule via crontab.
Thanks!

Re: running back every hour
Sorry, I missed the point, but now it's clear.
There is nothing wrong in running backups every hour. Otherwise we wouldn't have placed such option in VBR.
May I ask you why every hour? Are you looking to protect a certain application?
Thanks!
