Support for ubuntu 20.04

Post by MariusRoma »

I apologize for the very basi question.
I updated my Ubuntu 18.x box to Ubuntu 20.04.
After updating, Veeam Agent stopped working.
I uninstalled it but nlow I am unable to re-install it.
Where can I find the right procedure to re-install Veeam Agent from scratch?
Regards

Ubuntu 20.04 is supported with Veeam Agent 4.0.
Are you trying to use Veeam Agent 3.0?

Installation is covered in the guide:
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/agent ... tml?ver=40

@MariusRoma,

Which kernel are you using with Ubuntu 20.04? Please keep in mind that kernels 5.8 and higher do not support veeamsnap kernel module. Although 5.8 was not the default kernel for 20.04 initially, it is the default for 20.04.2 LTS.

Thanks!

Hi,
Question to the same topic: When will you support Kernal >= 5.8?
Thank you and best regards,
Michael
