Backup destination sharing between dualbooting Windows and Linux Agent

Post by Valen »

I have a Windows 10 install (1909) dualbooting with a Linux Mint 20 on the same disk. The Veeam agent on the Windows 10 install already has a long running backup going to a network share on my Synology nas. (now that I see it is a big old , v2.2.0.589) If I were to use the Linux Agent to do the same, can they use the same backup destination files to store full system backups? Or must they be seperate instances of the backup? It would save me some backupspace if I could reuse the same allocated space for them.

Hello,
Veeam Agent for Windows and Veeam Agent for Linux will use different folders and create their own backups in their folders.

It is not possible to save backup space with two different backup products.

Best regards,
Hannes
