VA for AIX indexing implementation

Post by philfreund »

I am unable to install the mlocate utility which is used for indexing on my servers. The install fails because the GNU findutils rpm is already installed and the the mlocate install gets conflicts with /usr/bin/locate and /usr/bin/updatedb.

I have an open case: ID: #02190495

Hello,
thanks, that looks like a valid feature request. Just to be sure... your case number was #04464257 and not #02190495? Because #02190495 is from 2017.

Best regards,
Hannes

Yes. Case # 04464257. Not sure where the other number came from.

Hi Phil,

I see your case is closed with an internal feature request to support findutils in future.
Glad you've clarified this situation.

Thanks!
