Veeam agent could not find my disk
Hello,
I got a working volume level backup, but I must resize my vda1 ( root disk partition) after that I always got object not found, and de backup is unsucessed. After trzing to modify the config, I could not see vda on the selection of source disks, only vdb and vdc is visible.
What could couse this?
The partition is ext4 on the disk.
On other Virtual Machine , this solutiion is working.

Re: Veeam agent could not find my disk
Hi and welcome to the community!
A couple of questions:
1. Are both VMs identical?
2. What kind of hypervisor do you use and what type of virtualization (fully virtualized, paravirtualized)?
3. Have you tried to perform resize on other VMs? Did it affect backup jobs as well?
4. Have you tried to readd /dev/vda1 into the job via CLI?
Thanks

No I have not tried that, so I dont know.
I try to readd the device in veeamconfig ui, but it did now show up.

Please try that. It will help us to determine if it's a UI glitch, or a major problem. No I have not tried that, so I dont know.
Regarding your KVM hypervisor - what kind of virtualization do you use?
Thanks

[root@appsrv ~]# veeamconfig job create --name Backup --objects /dev/vda,/dev/vdb --max-Poinrts 60
Error: Unable to backup following devices: /dev/vda
[root@appsrv ~]# ls -la /dev/ |grep vda
brw-rw---- 1 root disk 253, 0 Aug 2 09:13 vda
brw-rw---- 1 root disk 253, 1 Aug 2 09:13 vda1
As far as I know KVM only does full virtualization, and xen could do paravirtualization, but I use full virtualization.
Thanks
