Dear Community,
we are using VMWare to host Linux VMs. VBR is used as backup infrastructure.
1) What is the use case for the Veeam Agent for Linux?
2) Do we need the Veeam Agent for Linux for backup and recovery of the Linux VMs with VBR?
3) What are the benefits that we do NOT get without the Agent?
Best regards,
Martin

Re: Veeam Agent for Linux - Use Cases
Hi,
- back up physical machines that run Linux
- back up VMs that run on unsupported hypervizors (e.g. KVM) provided that the VM's hardware meets system requirements
- you don't have any access to the host that your VM resides at
- back up pRDM devices or in-guest iSCSI targets
Thanks!
Mainly the use cases are:1) What is the use case for the Veeam Agent for Linux?

No, unless you use pRDM devices or in-guest iSCSI targets inside the VM2) Do we need the Veeam Agent for Linux for backup and recovery of the Linux VMs with VBR?
Please see above3) What are the benefits that we do NOT get without the Agent?
Thanks!
