case 03877026
Recently we had to find out that the log file from the veeam agent snap process (/var/log/veeam/veeamsnapxxxxx.log ) are not rotated and fill up the log partition.
What was even more surprising was the answer of the support (some investigation) who told us that this behavior could be reproduced and to remove the files by hand. Not a word that this case will be escalated to QA or development.
I know I could automate this with “logrotate” entries for most linux distributions. But clearly this should be mentioned in the documentation. Or even better enhanced (bug fixed) in a new version. Since all the other veeam log files are rotated all right it fells like a bug and costumers should not be left with a answer to rotated log files by hand. At least not for a paid product.
