Currently run several CENTOS virtual machines. We back them up and replicate them regularly with Veeam Backup and Replication Enterprise. Each CENTOS vm does have vmware tools installed.
I am wondering how adding a Veeam Agent install to each CENTOS install would benefit me?

Re: What can Veeam Agent for Linux do?
My understanding is that the Windows and Linux agents are for physical machines really. https://www.veeam.com/linux-cloud-serve ... agent.html

Hi,
Agents (both Linux and Windows) would benefit you in the following cases:
- physical setup
- no access to the hypervisor API
- in guest iscsi/fc mounted
Thanks
