We have a Veeam B&R 9.4 server and repository. It looks like the Linux agent supports backing up to this but requires us to expose our on premise server to the internet to do so?
Is this secure? Is there a different recommended way to backup files on a cloud Linux server to a remote location?

Hello,
usually customers create a VPN to connect the cloud(s) with their on-prem locations. I would not expose the on-prem VBR to the internet.
Best regards,
Hannes
PS: you could try VeeamPN for the (it works even without "clouds")
