Agent RPM - missing changelog and non local pgp key location

Post by tgm »

Hello,

while looking to the rpm's of the agent and using the veeam repository i found some points which could be improved.
it would be very nice if veeam include the changelogs to there rpm's and put some information in it with which VBR version it is working.
The repository release file includes the pgp keys but the repo file is pointing to the keys in the web - not perfect if you use a local repo mirror because you don't like that every server is downloading the same files from the internet. The other point is - if the pgp keys are updated a new release file is needed in any case - so no need to point to the internet for the keys (it makes no sense)

it would be very nice if veeam could change this two things ;-)

Dear Veeam Team,

thanks for the change logs in the rpm's (most of it have one ;-) )
but the veeam-release rpm veeam-release-el8-1.0.8-1.x86_64.rpm still use the wrong location for the gpg key check's .. the internet url and not the local installed keys.
Please fix this too

thanks
Thomas
