Re: backup aws rds ms sql to local
Hi Lior
Best,
Fabian
Correct. Only EC2 backups can be copied to a local VBR server. Today we cannot create Veeam backups from RDS snapshots. And we only can use backup copy jobs for Veeam backups.there is veeam for aws, but based on what i know, i can only backup from aws to aws and manage policies.
No, our other products cannot backup databases on the AWS RDS service.any other way to backup to on premise? (or maybe even another cloud?)

Re: backup aws rds ms sql to local
Hi Lior,
Is your main request to back up directly from RDS to on-prem or would it be good enough if we have a form of backup copy job that could copy the data? Also, which MSSQL version are you using at the moment?
Have you looked at using replication between regions as a workaround for your RDS instances (which we support in VB for AWS)?
