Delete restore point
Hi
I have created a policy with a weekly schedule, with a retention of 2 snapshops and 14 days for backups.
However, if I run the policies by pressing "start" a restore point identified as daily "D" is created that does not allow it to be deleted, nor is it deleted by veeam according to weekly retention.
How can I delete this restore point?

Re: Delete restore point
If you run it manually using the start button, you should be able to go to the Restore Points popup (by clicking the number in the grid for the restore points column). Restore points that are created manually by running the policy using the start button, do not fall under the policy retention settings.
You can find more information in the user guide on how to delete EC2 backups and sapshots or manual created snapshots.

Re: Delete restore point
Thanks for your answer @nielsengelen
The documentation indicates what you say, but in my case.
in the "restore points" window it does not appear as manual, it appears as a daily snapshot "D" and it does not allow me to delete that restore point

Re: Delete restore point
If it's the daily snapshot, then it's most likely related to the settings of your policy on how many snapshots you keep within your schedule. If this is set to a specific number, we keep those snapshots for the backup/snapshot chain.
It's hard to troubleshoot without insight but if you believe this snapshot should have been deleted already, I suggest you contact our support for an extra pair of eyes and insight on what could be wrong or if it's related to how our retention/product works. If you open a case, can you please let us know the case ID?

Re: Delete restore point
This is exactly the problem:
"If it's the daily snapshot, then it's most likely related to the settings of your policy on how many snapshots you keep within your schedule."
In this police I do not have a daily schedule configured.
the snapshots are identified as daily, but they were generated with manual execution, pressing "start" on the policies

Re: Delete restore point
Then please open a case to better understand why it can’t be deleted as I can’t clarify it properly without insight (or logs).
I’m sure we can figure out the confusion.
Thanks!
