Feature Request: Worker nodes with encrypted EBS

In our AWS environments, all EBS volumes are encrypted as enforced by the landing zone and we need a Veeam worker node to do cross-accounts backups for us. However, the Veeam worker node itself doesn't launch using an encrypted EBS volume so we had to find a work-around to enable the Veeam worker node to use unencrypted volumes.

We would like the feature to be able to spin up the Worker node(s) EBS volumes encrypted.

Sounds like a valid request. We’ll look into this as a future enhancement but I won’t be able to provide an ETA when it will be available.

I am sure we are not the only company with SCP's like that requiring stricter encryption policies. Might be useful to look at the same feature for the AWS Veeam appliance (We had to abandon the Cloudformation setup for this and use the AMI setup)

The AMI is currently indeed the way to work around this as we don't have it enabled by default. It's one of the reasons why we created the AMI setup method to have additional options available related to specific policies.
