Getting an Error on a Windows EC2.
Hi Folks,
Running a backup policy for some Linux and Windows instances. Getting the following error: Failed to create VSS snapshot for instance AUTOLCRSYS: Could not access the AWS API, therefore, VolumeId is not available. Verify that your instance role has Describe-Instances permission.
When I do a permission check everything is a Success. There are no issues with the Linux instances in the same account.

Hi Imran,
Please keep working with our support team. If all the other instances are fine, and only this specific one is giving trouble, then there might be something specifically with this one. You might want to check if there are permission exceptions for the specific Linux instance

Hi Imran,
just a suggestion,
check permission function is on the server Veeam for AWS itself!
Verify the right is granted on your windows ec2 instance with a correct IAM role attached,
this is needed by Amazon SSM Agent to be able to make it

Re: Getting an Error on a Windows EC2.
For anyone who runs into this issue, make sure you apply the correct policy (AmazonSSMManagedInstanceCore) to the used IAM role. For more information, please refer to the AWS documentation.
