MS SQL Transaction log backup\truncate

Hey Guys,

We have plenty of EC instances running Windows + MS SQL, the main requirement is to backup and truncate the SQL transaction log every 15 minutes. And also perform application item recovery similar as what we can achieve in VBR. I can't find any related option of doing this in Veeam backup for AWS, is this possible?

If it's not possible, any suggested workaround to achieve this?

Any roadmap this will be available?

Hi, there is currently no log transaction feature in VB for AWS like in VBR. If you want to achieve this, we recommend deploying a VBR within AWS and leveraging agents that have this feature built-in.

Thank you for your update. Another option might be leverage on MS SQL Studio native function currently.

Any roadmap when will this features available?

I can't provide an ETA for it directly but we are aware of the request. If you want to leverage native scripts, you can also look at our support for guest scripting. This way you can run a pre-made script directly within the EC2 instance to perform the actions.
